What This Information Means

Your public IP is the address websites and online services see. When connected to an international route, it generally corresponds to the route's selected exit region; after disconnecting, it usually returns to the exit provided by your current network. Comparing the results before and after switching routes can show whether the change affects browser traffic.

IP & Location

The location comes from a network address database and indicates the region where the exit address is generally registered or routed. It may differ from your device's actual location and should not be used to determine an exact position.

ISP

The ISP field identifies the network operator associated with the exit address. If the provider changes after switching routes, the public exit has usually changed as well.

Proxy Detection

This field comes from the GeoIP interface's classification of your current exit. Database updates, shared exits, and network forwarding methods can all affect the result, so use it only as a troubleshooting reference.

DNS REVIEW

DNS Leak Check

DNS translates website names into network addresses that can be reached. If browser traffic uses the selected route while DNS requests are still handled by the original access network, the exit region and DNS path may not match.

This page's GeoIP interface reads only public exit information and does not enumerate DNS resolvers. The checks below help identify common configuration issues and do not send queries to third-party public interfaces.

Recommended Check Order

  • Record the results before connecting Note the public IP, country or region, and ISP, and keep a copy for comparison.
  • Check again after connecting to a route Confirm that the exit details have changed and match the region of the route selected in the client.
  • Check the client's DNS settings Prefer the DNS configuration provided with the route by the client, and confirm that the rule mode covers the apps you need to access.
  • Watch for browser and system differences Secure DNS in the browser, system caches, or other network tools may change the DNS path. After adjusting settings, close the old page and check the exit again.
